J'ai reçu un OQTF lettre

I have applied for titre de séjour last 2018, and I received a letter this month stating it was refused because my salary is below the SMIC. Along with it is a OQTF letter. I need legal assistance regarding this matter to contest the decision of the prefecture. My file was submitted in Boulogne Prefer and I live in Paris 13th eme now. I also submitted a file for "demande d'aide juridictionelle" but I don't know if they provide a lawyer or I can choose my own if it's approved. Please advise

Hello,

If you have filed for "aide juridictionnelle" you will be provided with a lawyer. However you can still choose your own in the meantime and :

  • send the acceptation letter of your lawyer to the aide juridictionnelle office;
  • choose a lawyer that doesn't accept aide juridictionnelle and send a letter to the aide juridictionnelle office saying that you withdraw from your demand.

You should keep in mind that a aide juridictionnelle application takes (normally) 3 to 4 months to be processed and for a lawyer to be appointed to you.

Plus, right now, with the virus, all the applications are frozen, you might wait for 6 to 7 month to get a lawyer.

These are information to keep in mind.

Considering this situation, it might be better for you to choose a lawyer on your own.

Do not hesitate to contact me if you want us to examine your situation together.
